Eyebrow Art with Lashform Clinic

Not everyone is born with on-point brows, but there’s a way to get them. We spoke with Kacey Louise from Louise Glamour and Lisa White from Lashform Clinic about how to keep eyebrows tamed and the benefits of cosmetic tattooing.

What’s cosmetic tattooing with micropigmentation?

Micropigmentation or permanent makeup is a cosmetic procedure that involves the application of pigment into the skin to enhance or mimic the appearance of makeup or brow hair. It’s a form of tattooing that’s typically used to enhance eyebrows. The procedure involves using a small needle or blade to deposit pigment into the skin, creating a long-lasting effect that can last for one or several years.

Who would benefit from this?

Anyone who wants to enhance their natural features or correct imperfections. Some specific groups include people with sparse or thin brows who want to achieve a fuller, more defined look; individuals with alopecia or other medical conditions that cause hair loss; those who’ve undergone chemotherapy and lost their brows or lashes; people with impaired vision who have issues applying makeup; busy individuals wanting to save time on their makeup routine; people who enjoy swimming or water sports and want to maintain their makeup; those who want to achieve a more symmetrical or balanced appearance. Overall, cosmetic tattooing can benefit anyone who wants to enhance their natural beauty and feel more confident in their appearance.

For those with naturally lush brows, other than plucking and waxing what are the other ways to keep those brows tamed?

Brow Lamination is a relatively new brow treatment and is effective on both sparse and bushy brows. It’s similar to a Lash Lift in the sense that specialist perming products are used to firstly soften the hairs and then set them in the direction we want them to sit. For sparse brows, hairs are set to look like you have fuller brows and for bushy brows we can set them to look much tamer and more structured. It lasts approximately 8 weeks.

Tint v Henna v Hybrid Staining

Which colour treatment to choose depends on the individual and the outcome they want to achieve. Henna and Hybrid Stain will colour the hairs as well as leaving a stain on the skin, giving the appearance of a fuller brow compared with a standard tint. Lasts about 3–4 weeks.
